While the frame, subframe and swing arm are at the powder coaters I thought I’d do a bit more stripping down of the old motor and a bit more painting.
First up I removed one of the coolant pipes, cleaned it up and thought I’d try some VHT Red wrinkle paint on it. Not sure I’m sold just yet…

I’d also finished lacquering the bottom triple, not sure if it’s going to chip or not but it’s not too hard to re-paint should that happen:

Got on with stripping down the old motor. Removed the oil pickup:

Removed the water pump feeds, gearbox selector cover, neutral pickup and crank shaft sensor:

Then I removed the cam chain and cam chain sprocket:
